Round 8: full-plan sweep — blockers fixed, trust/tool JSON-LD, hreflang, security.txt, seoTitle trim, RSS twin, 3 new tools, mitochondrial cluster
The largest single round to date — five tracks shipped across nine commits. **Track A (blockers):** lazy `lib/db.ts` (build no longer dies at cold start without DATABASE_URL), created `public/og/default.png` (every social share + JSON-LD image field sitewide had been 404'ing), rewrote `.env.example` (was still listing removed Supabase vars). **Track E (housekeeping):** untracked 3 diagnostic report JSONs (204 KB removed from tree), refreshed README. **Track B (silent quality):** rewrote FAQAccordion as native `<details>` — 22 stack pages now serve FAQ answer text in initial HTML, closing the schema/content mismatch AI crawlers penalise. Extended LegalPage to emit HubJsonLd (7 /about pages), new ToolJsonLd WebApplication emitter wired into all 11 tool pages, added HubJsonLd to /contact and /medical-disclaimer — trust surface goes from zero JSON-LD to comprehensive. New `/.well-known/security.txt` (RFC 9116). hreflang alternates (en-GB + x-default) on every page via buildMetadata. **Track C (metadata):** new optional `seoTitle` frontmatter field, filled on 31 of 32 stack+comparison MDX files by a Haiku sweep — SERP `<title>` now stays under Google's ~60-char truncation while on-page H1 keeps the long descriptive title. Shared `rightsFields()` helper adds `isAccessibleForFree: true`, `license` URI, `copyrightHolder` @id-ref, `copyrightYear` to every Article/Stack/Peptide/Comparison/Research/Hub/FAQPage node. New `/rss.xml` route reuses corpus via extracted `lib/feed.ts` — legacy readers now have an RSS 2.0 twin alongside Atom. **Track D (content):** 3 new tools shipped — `/tools/peptide-half-life-visualiser` (SVG plot of first-order decay from any peptide's frontmatter half-life), `/tools/evidence-level-classifier` (Oxford CEBM levels walkthrough), `/tools/species-dose-scaling-explainer` (FDA HED Km-factor calculator with prominent peptide-specific unreliability warnings). Mitochondrial-derived-peptides cluster: `/compare/mots-c-vs-humanin`, `/compare/ss-31-vs-mots-c`, `/mechanisms/mitochondrial-derived-peptides-map` explainer, `/glossary/mitochondrial-derived-peptides` term. All 8 new citations pre-verified against PubMed. Round-5's mechanism-map gap on MDPs is closed. **Numbers**: corpus 186/186 verified citations (was 178), 114 search-index entries (was 107), 3 new tools + 4 new content pieces, 0 HIGH scanner hits.

Round 7: finish the round-5/6 citation-cleanup debt — 40 refills across 17 stacks + peptideauthority retraction + CI gate ported
Completes the round-5/6 fabrication-purge cleanup. **peptidestacks:** refilled 40 verified PubMed citations across 17 previously under-cited stack pages, batched into three commits by priority tier. Tier 1 (6 stacks with 0-1 citations post-purge) got +20; tier 2 (6 stacks at 2-3) got +13; tier 3 (5 stacks at 4-5) got +7. Every citation was pre-verified by ID before commit; corpus is now 178/178 --strict OK, up from 138. **peptideauthority:** merged the enrich/citation-integrity branch, shipped a GitHub Actions gate mirroring peptidestacks' workflow (integrity + retraction jobs, weekly Monday 04:30 UTC cron), fixed the 1 real retraction the round-6 scan flagged (PMID 25187433 on the dihexa page — replaced with the same-mechanism Wright & Harding 2015 review, transparency note kept in the summary field so the change is auditable). Peptideauthority's own audit workflow had already resolved the 8 mismatches + 10 unsourced flagged in the stale July report before we got there — fresh audit shows 820 refs, 0 problems.

Round 6: CI gate for citation integrity + fleet-share to peptideauthority + citation refills + MK-677 content cluster
Follow-up round hardening the round-5 citation-integrity work and extending it beyond this site. **Prevention:** new GitHub Actions workflow (.github/workflows/citation-integrity.yml) runs `check-citation-integrity --strict` and `check-retractions --strict` on every push touching content/**/*.mdx, on every PR, and on a weekly Monday-04:15-UTC cron so newly-retracted papers surface even without a code change. npm scripts `check:citations`, `check:retractions`, `check:content` added. **Fleet-share:** ported check-retractions.mjs to the peptideauthority.co.uk repo as scripts/enrich/check-retractions.mjs (branch `enrich/citation-integrity`, ready for PR). First-run scan on peptideauthority's 345 unique verified PMIDs found 1 RETRACTED paper: PMID 25187433 (Benoist 2014 J Pharmacol Exp Ther, cited on the dihexa page's clinicalStudies list). Other candidate fleet sites (mypeptidebible, besthealing, biohackingbible) don't use PMID citations. **Citation refill:** added 15 verified PubMed citations across the 5 peptide pages hit hardest by round-5's fabrication purge — tesamorelin (+4), retatrutide (+3), bpc-157 (+3), ghrp-2 (+3), mots-c (+2). Every added citation was pre-verified by ID against PubMed E-utils. Total verified citations now 138 (was 113). **New content — MK-677 cluster:** content/peptides/mk-677.mdx (ibutamoren, non-peptide oral ghrelin-receptor agonist, WADA-prohibited, no UK MHRA licence) and content/comparisons/mk-677-vs-ghrp-2.mdx (non-peptide oral vs peptide injectable at the same receptor). Both mk-677 and cagrilintide (from round 5) added to HIGH_REGULATORY_SENSITIVITY_PEPTIDES so sponsor blocks are suppressed on those pages. Peptide + comparison indexes and sitemap auto-enumerate.

Round 5: citation-integrity purge (32→108 fabricated PMIDs removed) + CagriSema content cluster + Tier-2 AI-SEO
Multi-phase autonomous execution across content-integrity, AI-SEO and new content. **Citation integrity**: new scripts/check-citation-integrity.mjs cross-checks every PMID/DOI against PubMed E-utils + CrossRef. First pass flagged 32 mismatches; regex fix uncovered 76 more (references-as-last-field case). All 108 fabricated citations were removed from frontmatter via scripts/purge-mismatched-citations.mjs after spot-verifying one (BPC-157 PMID 16583453 attributed on-site to an Achilles-tendon paper is unambiguously an unrelated 2006 HPLC/loganin paper). Post-purge: 113 citations, 100% verified. **Retraction scan**: new scripts/check-retractions.mjs checks the remaining 113 against PubMed pubtype and CrossRef update-to for retractions or expressions-of-concern; zero found. **Tier-2 AI-SEO**: `<html lang>` fixed to en-GB (was 'en', contradicting every JSON-LD inLanguage). New WebSiteJsonLd with SearchAction on the root. Organization node gains stable @id for cross-linking. HubArticle + HubLanding now render LastReviewedBlock. rel='author' byline on MedicalReviewer pointing at new /about#editor-slug anchors, with editor bios newly rendered on /about. openGraph.article now emits authors/section/tags/modifiedTime. LearningResource schema wired via HubJsonLd's learningResourceType prop, applied to 6 /research-governance/* pages. New wordCount + speakable on every Article emitter for LLM summarisation + voice-search surfacing. **@graph consolidation**: rewrote every JsonLd emitter to return a single script with all sub-entities (Article/BreadcrumbList/FAQPage/Person/Organization) cross-linked by @id — LLM knowledge-graph builders now read each page as one connected entity. **robots.ts**: explicit allow stanzas for 14 AI crawlers (GPTBot/ClaudeBot/CCBot/PerplexityBot/Google-Extended etc.) — silence was ambiguous. Query-param disallows for /*?utm_* and /*?callbackUrl=. New /.well-known/ai-policy.json declares training/inference/commercial-use terms machine-readably. next.config.mjs X-Robots-Tag: noindex on /api/* and /search-index.json. **feed.xml** merged from research-only to research+stacks+peptides+comparisons with `<category>` tags. **Peptide sameAs enrichment**: new scripts/enrich-peptide-sameas.mjs harvests Wikipedia REST + PubChem PUG + ChEMBL REST identifiers per peptide, verifies each URL, writes to frontmatter. Coverage: 26/28 Wikipedia + 25/28 PubChem + 22/28 ChEMBL. PeptideJsonLd.about now emits `sameAs` — single biggest knowledge-graph disambiguation change. **New CagriSema cluster**: cagrilintide.mdx monograph + semaglutide-cagrilintide-cagrisema-stack.mdx (REDEFINE 1/2 + REIMAGINE 1-3 evidence at 68 weeks) + tirzepatide-vs-cagrilintide.mdx comparison + /glp-1/cagrisema-mechanism-explainer hub subpage. All 11 new citations verified against PubMed before commit. Cagrilintide added to HIGH_REGULATORY_SENSITIVITY_PEPTIDES so sponsor block is suppressed on the new pages.

AI-SEO pass: llms.txt / llms-full.txt rewritten to match research-literacy positioning; stale framing purged
Both AI-crawler endpoints (/llms.txt and /llms-full.txt) rewritten to accurately describe what the site publishes and — critically — what it does NOT publish. Introduced a shared build-time content index (lib/llms-content.ts) that enumerates tools, hub subpages and trust pages from their own page.tsx sources so the two files can never drift out of sync with the app router. New llms.txt sections: Policy (publishes / does NOT publish / summarisation hint), Site Indexes, expanded Hubs & Explainers (9 hubs + 55 subpages, was 9 indexes), Interactive Tools (all 11, correct current descriptions, was 3 with stale copy), Trust & Governance (10 editorial pages, was 0). llms-full.txt gains a matching Policy section, full extracted prose of the 8 /about pages + /medical-disclaimer + /contact, and a Hubs & Explainers metadata section. Corpus grew from ~54 KB to ~1.1 MB. Purged pre-repositioning framing from SITE_TAGLINE, layout description and keywords (`layout.tsx`) — the RSS feed subtitle and default page-title fallback now match the actual site positioning. Rewrote the /about page prose: dropped 'the full research protocol — dosing, route, frequency, cycle length' framing that contradicted the medical disclaimer, replaced with the current evidence-review framing including A–X grading, direct-vs-inferred combination evidence, translational limits and POM-adjacent sponsor exclusion. Added stack-finder to the /resources TOOLS array (was only in sitemap.ts). Scanner stays at 0 HIGH; tsc clean; `next build` verified.

Third audit pass: post-rebase integration + breadcrumb sweep + Auth.js signin fix + JSON-LD parity
Cleanup pass after rebasing the earlier audit work onto the Auth.js/Drizzle migration. Fixed the Auth.js sign-in page silently dropping the `callbackUrl` query param — magic-link users were always returned to `/` regardless of the page they intended to reach; sign-in now safely validates and threads `callbackUrl` through the server action. Added `robots: { index: false }` to `/auth/signin`, `/auth/verify-request` and `/auth/verify` so any crawler that ignores robots.txt still won't index the magic-link flow. Swept all remaining hand-rolled breadcrumb `<nav>`s onto the shared `<Breadcrumb>` component: 11 tool pages, `/glossary/[slug]`, `/medical-disclaimer`, `/research/[slug]`, and `/compare/[slug]` — the last four were still missing Home and/or `aria-label`. `ComparisonJsonLd` and `ResearchArticleJsonLd` now emit a BreadcrumbList and an `image` alongside the Article body, closing the last two schema gaps between them and Stack/Peptide. `/resources` now emits a `CollectionPageJsonLd` covering all 16 tools + library links so LLM crawlers can enumerate the catalogue without scraping every card. Fixed stale `Glossary — 44 terms` copy on `/resources` (the glossary has 40 entries). All 34 internal `/glossary/*` link targets were cross-checked against `content/glossary/*.mdx` — all resolve. No dangling references to the deleted `/auth/login`, `/auth/register`, `lib/safe-next.ts`, or `@/lib/supabase/(client|server)` remain in code. `tsc --noEmit` clean; risky-keyword scanner at 0 HIGH.

Second combined audit pass: LoginForm safeNext, hub JSON-LD, SisterLink MDX component, metadata trims, a11y and analytics-type polish
Ran a second parallel AI/SEO + code-quality + bug audit against the current tree; verified and shipped fixes in one pass. Security: closed the same open-redirect class in `/auth/login` (was fixed at `/auth/callback` in the first pass); factored `safeNext()` into a shared `lib/safe-next.ts`. Bookmark taxonomy: single-sourced `BookmarkType`, `BOOKMARK_TYPE_PATH`, `BOOKMARK_TYPE_LABEL` in `lib/bookmark-types.ts` so `BookmarkButton`'s SSR fallback path builds `/compare/…` and `/research/…` instead of the 404-inducing `/comparisons/…` and `/researchs/…`. Schema/SEO: added `HubJsonLd` (Article + BreadcrumbList with `HUB_REVIEWED` as default `publishedTime`) and threaded a `path` prop through every HubLanding/HubArticle caller — 64 previously-bare hub, safety, evidence, matrix, updates, mechanisms, regulation, glp-1, claims and research-governance routes now emit structured data. `personLd` gained `@id` so the shared editor isn't ~100 orphan Person nodes across the graph. `ResearchArticleJsonLd` now consumes optional frontmatter `author`/`reviewedBy` slugs instead of silently attributing every research post to `dr-h-richards`. `ComparisonJsonLd` now emits a BreadcrumbList to match Stack/Peptide. `PeptideJsonLd.headline` and `/peptides/[slug]` metadata no longer double-suffix `— Research Evidence Summary`; peptide OG asset now flows through `ogImage`. Content link discipline: introduced `<SisterLink target="authority|barn">` MDX component (applies `SPONSOR_OUTBOUND_REL` + UTM), registered on stack/peptide/research/comparison MDXRemote surfaces, swept 16 MDX files (25 inline sister-site links converted) and reused it inside `/about`. Metadata: rewrote 8 overflowing descriptions (`/stacks`, `/peptides`, `/safety`, `/evidence`, `/claims`, `/glp-1`, `/mechanisms`, `/medical-disclaimer`, `/tools/reconstitution-calculator`) and the 2 overflowing titles (`/stacks`, `/peptides`) to ≤ 60/160. Quality: `<Breadcrumb>` replaces the last two hand-rolled trails on stack/peptide templates; `llms.txt` gains a Hubs & Explainers section; newsletter subscribe handles 23505 unique-violation races; confirmation URL prefers `request.nextUrl.origin` so dev links don't point at production; stale `/disclaimer` references removed from `SITE_UPDATES` and the IndexNow submitter; `EvidenceStrengthChecker` drops the dead `sampleSize` state; `MatrixTable` renders a numeric 0 as `0` (was `—`); `CitationCard` gates the study-context caveat on `isEnriched(c)`; `SponsorSurface` union replaces the free-form `string` on SponsorPanel + SisterSiteCard; Header dropdown gains Escape/blur close and `role="menu"`+`role="menuitem"` semantics; `withUtm` correctly places query parameters before URL fragments; homepage `dangerouslySetInnerHTML` for entity-only strings replaced with real Unicode; the file-wide `risk-scan-allow-file` on the homepage is now a single per-line directive so future regressions surface; `DisclaimerBanner` role changed from `note` to `region` with `aria-label`. `npx tsc --noEmit` clean, `npm run build` succeeds (119 routes), `npm run scan:risky` stays at 0 HIGH.

Audit follow-up pass: shared components, sister-site verification, citation enrichment, scanner allow-list, a11y polish, ORCID (with disclosed name discrepancy), PeptideBarn catalogue audit, credentialUrl live
Extracted <SisterSiteCard> (used by Footer + SponsorPanel compact) and <Breadcrumb> (used by HubLanding + HubArticle) to remove duplication. Wired credentialUrl through MedicalReviewer so real editor credential URLs will link when populated. Confirmed via WebFetch that peptideauthority.co.uk landing pages exist for BPC-157, GHRP-2, Semaglutide, SS-31 and MOTS-c (no dead outbound links). Enriched 6 more citation blocks with study-metadata cards — Retatrutide Phase 2 (Jastreboff 2023), Cerebrolysin CASTA (Heiss 2012) and CARS (Muresanu 2016), and restructured 3 loose-string Cerebrolysin refs (Bornstein, Plosker, Alvarez) into full CitationCard-compatible form. Extended the risky-keyword scanner with a `risk-scan-allow: <reason>` per-line and `risk-scan-allow-file: <reason>` file-level directive; annotated the ~28 known educational-discussion hits across 12 policy pages and 6 content MDX files. Scanner now reports 0 HIGH as its baseline (128 legitimate hits correctly suppressed) — usable as a CI signal. Accessibility polish: focus-visible rings on SponsorPanel outbound anchors, HubLanding link cards use aria-labelledby, TOC target headings have scroll-margin-top and a visible :target outline, HubLanding uses semantic ul/li list markup. Lighthouse-informed: added preconnect + dns-prefetch for peptideauthority.co.uk and peptidebarn.co.uk in the root layout so sponsor / sister-site outbound clicks resolve without a DNS round-trip. Wired the site owner's real ORCID (0009-0007-6762-7157) into the dr-h-richards editor slot's sameAs array. **Discrepancy disclosure:** the ORCID.org record for that ORCID shows the site owner's real name, but the site's editor card continues to display the placeholder identity 'Dr. H. Richards, PhD'. This trade-off was made intentionally at the site owner's direction; noted here so it is documented rather than silent. To reconcile, either rename the editor slot in lib/editors.ts to match the ORCID record, or remove the ORCID. Also live in this pass: `credentialUrl` on the `dr-h-richards` editor slot now points at the ORCID record — MedicalReviewer renders the credentials line as an outbound link (`rel="noopener external nofollow"`, focus-visible ring). PeptideBarn catalogue audit (via WebFetch of shop pages and category indexes): confirmed catalogue contains AOD-9604, BPC-157, CJC-1295 No DAC, DSIP, GHK-Cu, TB-500, KPV, IGF1-LR3, Ipamorelin, Retatrutide, MOTS-C, Tesamorelin, MGF, NAD+. Of the current `HIGH_REGULATORY_SENSITIVITY_PEPTIDES` exclusion list, only Retatrutide and Tesamorelin are actually in the catalogue — both correctly excluded as POM-adjacent. The other seven excluded compounds (Tirzepatide, Semaglutide, PT-141, Melanotan II, Cerebrolysin, Thymosin α-1, GHRP-2) aren't stocked by PeptideBarn, so the exclusion is a harmless no-op for those pages but still correct because it prevents the SponsorPanel from attempting to link to product URLs that would 404. No changes to the exclusion list needed.

Combined audit pass: security fix, schema/SEO upgrade, disclaimer merge, quality cleanup
Three parallel audits (AI/SEO, code quality, bug check) surfaced 45 candidate findings; verified 25 and shipped fixes in one pass. Security: closed open-redirect in /auth/callback by validating the `next` parameter; HTML-escaped the URL interpolation in the newsletter confirmation email. Trust: removed placeholder ORCID URLs from editor metadata (sameAs now empty rather than misleading). Schema: added CollectionPageJsonLd + ItemList markup to /stacks, /peptides, /compare, /glossary, /research; reshaped citation JSON-LD to use sameAs for PMID/DOI persistence; breadcrumbs now emit object-form item with @id; per-page OG image included as ImageObject. Routing: merged /disclaimer into /medical-disclaimer with anchored sections + 301 redirect in next.config.mjs; updated all internal references. Robots: explicit disallow rules for /auth/, /api/, /bookmarks, /newsletter-confirmed. Quality: gated lib/mdx.ts validation console.error behind NODE_ENV; ContactForm now routes through /api/contact with zod validation instead of writing Supabase from the client; bookmark DELETE validates the content_type enum; AuthMenu has an error fallback so failures no longer leave the spinner stuck; DeleteBookmarkButton now strongly typed with user-visible error state; hub index pages carry HUB_REVIEWED publishedTime; Lora font display switched to swap; NewsletterForm dropped hand-rolled .includes('@') in favour of native + server validation; removed dead COMMON_OUTBOUND_REL export.

PeptideBarn paid sponsorship + PeptideAuthority cross-linking restored
PeptideBarn.co.uk is now a paid sponsor of PeptideStacks (fixed-fee placement, not click-tied). Sponsor presence added to: (1) Footer sister-sites & sponsor row, sitewide; (2) compact panel on the homepage; (3) clearly-labelled SponsorPanel at the bottom of every peptide and stack evidence page — with the PeptideBarn portion conditionally suppressed for UK POM and POM-adjacent compounds (Tirzepatide, Semaglutide, Retatrutide, PT-141, Tesamorelin, Melanotan II, Cerebrolysin, Thymosin α-1, GHRP-2). PeptideAuthority links rendered alongside on every surface. Outbound sponsor links carry rel='sponsored noopener external nofollow' and UTM parameters. COI page rewritten to reflect active paid sponsorship; responsible-information-policy and medical-disclaimer updated to distinguish editorial sourcing recommendations (still not published) from clearly-labelled sponsor placement (permitted with disclosure).

Content-gap remediation: new peptide monographs, cardio stack, safety subpages, evidence subpages, glossary cross-links, expanded mechanism maps
Authored two new peptide monographs (GHRP-2, Semaglutide), filled the empty cardio stack category with SS-31 + MOTS-c, added four new hub subpages (administration-routes-comparison, contraindication-deep-dive, allometric-scaling-failures, time-dependent-repair-cascade). Expanded all 8 mechanism maps from ~250 to ~450 words each with pathway background, evidence-status sections, and explicit peptide-monograph cross-links. Expanded four thin research articles to 700+ words. Added Related-on-this-site sections to all 20 glossary entries previously without internal cross-links; expanded five thinnest glossary entries. Cross-linked 14 peptide monographs to their head-to-head comparisons and relevant mechanism maps. Topped up /about/ai-use-disclosure with verification-workflow detail.

Site repositioned as UK research-literacy platform
Comprehensive editorial repositioning: stack and peptide pages now lead with evidence dashboards (A–X grade, human-data status, direct combination evidence, regulatory sensitivity, translational risk) and a Not-a-Protocol notice. Reconstitution calculator reframed as a laboratory documentation arithmetic helper with no injection-unit output. New trust pages (editorial policy, citation standards, evidence grading, corrections, COI, AI use, responsible information, medical disclaimer). New hubs for regulation, evidence, safety, claims, GLP-1, mechanisms, and research governance.
Pages on PeptideStacks are reviewed when relevant new evidence becomes available. If you spot an error or have new evidence to suggest, please use our corrections policy.
